The joy of the shrug

I have been searching for the perfect shrug pattern for a LONG TIME.  I found a great one: here.

I knit it with SRK On Your Toes Bamboo by Kertzer (75% Bamboo, 25% Nylon) in Blooming Pink and love it! I'll post pictures when I feel like it and not a second before.

Why get all excited about a shrug you ask?  Well, our summers here in Ontario get hot, humid and sticky and I am stuck with a tattoo I hate on my upper arm.  Don't get me wrong, I love my others, just not this particular one.  And so, my hope to find a shrug pattern was born.  I could knit a lace one and wear a tank top without showing that hideous thing. So long, long sleeves!  A lovely idea.

I am eventually going to make another of the same pattern with the same yarn in Rainforest Dew...eventually.

Lo and behold, when my search for a shrug ended, I found another in Classic Elite Yarns "Make It Modern" booklet.  It's buttoned on the sleeves, so convertible into a shawl.  LOVELY!!!!!  I'm in the process of this one with Eco-Fil "Recycled earth-friendly yarn" (75% Cotton, 25% Acrylic) in a dark green.

Pictures coming soon to a theatre near you...or something like that.
